UNLEASHING
a secret evil into the world and then getting seemingly
ordinary kids with extraordinary powers to overcome
the malevolence updates the legend of Pandora and
fuses it with the 21st century action of superheroes.
It’s
also GMA Network’s newest adventure show, Fantastikids,
starring Marky Cielo, Isabella De Leon and BJ Forbes
as siblings who engage in a series of heart-pounding
adventures week after week in order to stop a fearsome
entity from spreading evil and wreaking havoc in the
world.
Directed
by Jun Lana and Zoren Legaspi, Fantastikids introduces
Daniel (Cielo), Diana (De Leon) and Don-Don (Forbes)
as heroes to emulate. Starting as simple kids with
normal lives, the siblings find themselves cultivating
their powers after the evil Armana, trapped for centuries
inside a mysterious box their mother entrusted to
them, is let loose.
Armana
begins to regenerate by possessing people and using
them to accomplish her wicked plans. Faced with Armana’s
growing and strengthening power, Daniel, Diana and
Don-Don are forced to cultivate their inherent super
powers to save the world. Mang Domeng (Bodgie Pascua),
the keeper of the agimat, helps them discover their
respective gifts and teaches them to develop their
powers.
Completing
Fantastikids’ cast are Jackie Rice as Princess,
who Daniel falls in love with; Melanie Marquez as
the kids’ Aunt Lucila, and Sandy Andolong as
Melinda, the kids’ loving mother.
Fantastikids
will soon air on the local cable channel that carries
GMA-7
