Being one of the busiest and most in-demand artists in the entertainment industry, Angel surely did not forget to give back to society with this gesture of generosity. It was a pleasant surprise for the people at C.R.I.B.S. to see Angel mingle with them and share stories with them.
Angel caressed and carried every child with such happiness that the entire foundation was filled with laughter and positive energy. The highlight of her visit was the feeding program and gift giving, which Angel planned and arranged for lunch, two days before her actual birthday.

Asked why she spent her birthday with C.R.I.B.S., Angel answers simply, “I wanted to help and give joy to other people today. I just want to share my blessings.”

Angel’s outreach efforts did not just end at C.R.I.B.S., later that day, there was also a free eye consultation/check-up event at Robinson’s Place Manila for Angel’s beneficiary organization, The Call Foundation. Not known to many, every Christmas, Angel donates, or creates a charity event for The Call Foundation. The young actress holds the foundation close to her heart for a special reason. A few years ago, Angel had experienced laser surgery for the eyes because her vision was threatened by an eye defect.

Aside from Angel, some of her friends from showbiz joined her in celebrating. Making her birthday extra special, Dennis Trillo, Mike Tan, Rea Nakpil and Johann Santos of StarStruck, and StarStruck Kids Ella Guevarra, JM Reyes, Sandy Talag, Madeleine Yu, and Renz Juan joined Angel at C.R.I.B.S. Present at Robinson’s for the mall show and eye check-up were Dion Ignacio, Valerie Concepcion, Bugz Daigo, Jeric Rizalado, Vivo Ouano, Vaness Del Moral, and the S.O.P. Boys.

Helping Angel spend her birthday in such a special way were the Makati Eye Laser Center, Jag Jeans, Eskinol, Avon, WL Products, Happee Toothpaste, Head & Shoulders, Lotus Ballpens, Timex, Robitussin, Flywear, and Consolidated Notebook.

Undoubtedly beautiful inside and out, Angel shined more brightly than she has ever shone onscreen among the sea of people she made happy during her birthday. “I have nothing else to wish for. I have been so blessed in my life now, and I am so happy. Wala na talaga akong hihilingin pa.” Angel ends with a smile.
