In
case you’re planning to mount a coup d’etat,
a mutiny, an Oakwood, a Manila Pen, or anything similar
to that, please, PLEASE make sure that you die fighting.
Or better yet, make sure that your plan will pull
through.
The November 29 standoff put a lot of strain on detained
Senator Antonio Trillanes IV’s public image
that he’s now being regarded as a class clown
even though he didn’t smile for the whole duration
of the standoff. Aside from the snide remarks of loyal
and former supporters regarding the latest escapades
of our favorite hero, bloggers give the most unforgiving
commentaries. |

From tour guide Carlos Celdran (http://celdrantours.blogspot.com/)
Here we go again. Three steps back for the country.
And now that Trillanes and his merry medley of melodramatic
morons are still alive and walking away unscathed,
make that fricking four. Sometimes, I think
we are too nice. These guys make me miss martial
law.

- If you’re launching a coup d’etat, make
sure to check the weather report the day before.
- Everyone says they’re ready to die for their
country, but no one actually makes good on the threat.
Come on, you promised. |

Pinoys
the second cheeriest in Asia! |
| |
|
| |
We
have to give credit to the Pinoy. Despite our sometimes
awful situation, a joint study done by Axa Life and
the research company Taylor Nelson Sofres showed that
Filipinos are the second happiest and most optimistic
people in Asia.
Among the eight countries included in the study, the
Philippines ranked 85 percent in the Outlook Index
where India was proclaimed the happiest with 87.2
percent. China ranked third, followed by Thailand,
Indonesia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Singapore.
The study measured the satisfaction rate of people
with their current situation and how optimistic they
are for the next 12 months and the next five years
with their careers, family, health, and retirement
planning. |
