THE
Japan Foundation partnered with the Sinag Arts Foundation
in organizing the ASEAN-Japan Technical Theater
and Design Workshop 2006, which was held
for two weeks recently at the Sinag Arts Foundation
Studio in Mandaluyong City.
For
its showcase, the workshoppers assisted in Tanghalang
Pilipino’s production of ZsaZsa Zaturnnah,
a fantasy musical comedy that spoofs the Pinoy comic-book
character Darna as a gay beauty salon owner who mysteriously
acquires supernatural powers to battle evil spirits.
ZsaZsa
stars local TV soap opera mainstay Eula Valdes, who
says this is her first foray into the theater. |
