WHAT
if you woke up one morning with a face as beautiful
as Heart Evangelista’s? What would you do? How
would your life change? And will you be getting everything
you ever wanted – or experience heartbreak like
never before?
ABS-CBN
takes on yet another recent cinematic classic and
gives it the luxe treatment with Sineserye Presents:
Hiram na Mukha, a love triangle topbilled by Heart
Evangelista, Geoff Eigenmann and TJ Trinidad and directed
by Erick C. Salud and Trina Dayarit.
The original hit movie on which the new series is
based was directed by Joel Lamangan.
Released in 1992, it starred Nanette Medved, Christopher
de Leon and Cesar Montano.
Sineserye Presents: Hiram na Mukha is Heart’s
grand return to the world of ABS-CBN’s teleseryes
following her work on the epic Panday. This installment
of Sineserye also reunites Heart and Geoff, who were
first paired in in ABS-CBN’s megaserye Hiram.
In Sineserye Presents: Hiram na Mukha, Heart plays
Clarissa, a woman born with a face resembling a monkey.
Because of her looks, Clarissa can only work as a
sideshow attraction in a low-rent perya, where she
is abused and mistreated. She finally finds the opportunity
to escape but is is nearly run over by TJ Trinidad
who plays Hugo, a renowned plastic surgeon. In the
car with Hugo is Alicia, Hugo’s beloved wife
who, shortly after the incident, dies in a tragic
car accident.
When Hugo and Clarissa’s paths cross again,
Clarissa agrees to become the test patient for the
revolutionary surgical procedure Hugo had been working
on. But instead of giving Clarissa a new fresh face,
Hugo decides to give her the features of his dead
wife.
But can Clarissa truly be happy with a face –
and a life – borrowed from a woman long dead?
How will Hugo live with a woman who shares his wife’s
face? And what will happen to her relationship with
Mendez (Geoff Eigenmann), the only man who has ever
seen the true beauty behind Clarissa’s “ugliness”?
Joining the three leads in the series are Cherrie
Pie Picache as Rose, Alicia’s cousin and caretaker
of Hugo’s vast wealth; Katya Santos as Morita,
Alicia’s sister who has long been in love with
Hugo; Sharmaine Centenera Buencamino as Timotea, Clarissa’s
mother; and Eva Darren as Aling Azon, the kindly tiketera
at the sideshow who takes Clarissa in after her escape.
Also appearing in Sineserye Presents: Hiram na Mukha
are talented actors Marissa Delgado, Anna Leah Javier,
Justin de Leon, JE Sison and Matutina.
Mio Siojo serves as Sineserye Presents: Hiram na Mukha’s
executive producer, with Nini Matilac as production
manager. Rondel Lindayag is the series’ creative
manager, and Reggie Amigo serves as the writer for
the episodes. Deo Endrinal is Sineserye’s Executive
in Charge of Production. |
